Our Instructors

Viné Scholtz

Viné has been teaching movement for over 20 years, and it’s still what lights her up. Her training is rooted in BASI Comprehensive Pilates and Body Control Pilates, with a foundation in dance that brings fluidity and creativity into her teaching.

Over the years, she’s worked with people from all walks of life — from dancers and athletes to clients recovering from injury or surgery. She’s come to deeply understand that no two bodies are the same and takes time to listen, observe and  guide each person in a way that feels right for them.

Her approach is thoughtful and intuitive, always aiming to support strength, ease, and connection — both in movement and in life.

Clara Rosslee

Clara is a professional performance artist with a passion for fitness. Her love for dance has given her the opportunity to be trained in multiple dance disciplines including Ballet and Contemporary. Clara’s love for moving the body has also led her to various fitness disciplines such as BarreFitness, HIIT and Pilates.

After graduating with a BA degree in Dance and Drama Clara started to instruct dance and fitness in 2016. She has completed her International Pilates Mat Qualification through BASI Pilates and also holds a qualification in Reformer Pilates.

Through instructing Clara wishes to create a safe space that welcomes all ages and all body types to work towards being a happy and healthy individual. Her classes are fun, upbeat and stress free. She believes that a healthy body facilitates a healthy mind.

Shirley

Shirley’s first experience with Pilates was after an injury and she was instantly drawn to the fact that it was accessible to people of all abilities. Having danced her whole life she was not unfamiliar with movement and exercise but was impressed by how Pilates was able to isolate and activate specific muscles so effectively.

After completing her qualification trough Body Control Pilates and BASI, she has been teaching Pilates since 2014 and enjoys being able to help people feel stronger, healthier and more comfortable in their bodies. Whatever your goals, whether it’s injury prevention, better mobility, strengthening or all of the above, the challenge of creating a class designed for you is what excites Shirley as an instructor.

Kelly

Kelly has always had a passion for movement and fitness from a young age. After graduating from UCT she moved abroad, where she first discovered pilates while living in South Korea. She fell in love with the practice and the ability of movement to transcend languages.

Upon her return to South Africa she trained under Viné at The Movement Collective. Kelly is STOTT PILATES trained, a barre instructor and currently furthering her pilates education.

Kelly’s classes are dynamic with a focus on form and technique. Her classes draw inspiration from her extensive background in various forms of exercise, challenging both the body and mind.

Her aim is to have clients leaving stronger and moving with confidence.
